Who we are

Local Famous Coffee is operated by Cha0tik LLC, based in Spokane, Washington. We run a curated monthly coffee subscription service. Questions: [email protected].

What we collect

Email address — when you join the interest list, waitlist, or subscribe
Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card number
Shipping address — collected at fulfillment time, used only to ship your order
IP address and basic device/browser data — logged for security, fraud prevention, and traffic measurement

Cookies and analytics

We use only the cookies reasonably necessary to operate the site and process checkout. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers — no Google tags, no ad pixels. Traffic measurement is done from our own server logs.

How we use your information

To process and manage your subscription
To send transactional emails (confirmation, shipping, billing notices)
To notify waitlist members when a seat opens
To measure site traffic and subscription conversions
To comply with legal obligations

Third-party services

Stripe processes all payments. Your payment data is governed by Stripe's privacy policy. We receive only a customer ID and subscription status — never card details.

Data retention

We retain your email and subscription records for as long as your account is active, plus 3 years after cancellation for tax and legal purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us — we will delete within 30 days, subject to any legal retention requirements.

Under Washington law and as a matter of policy, you have the right to:

Know what personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Opt out of any future marketing communications at any time

You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect checkout behavior.

Security

Your data is stored on servers we operate and control. We do not use shared cloud databases for subscriber records. Payment processing is delegated entirely to Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will notify active subscribers by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
